Delhi Skies Clear After Rain: Temperatures to Rise
23 Mar
Summary
- Rainfall activity is expected to subside from March 24.
- Maximum temperatures to gradually increase to 32-34 degrees Celsius.
- Air quality remains in the moderate category across the city.

Delhi experienced cloudy skies on Monday, with forecasts indicating very light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning until the afternoon. While Delhi sees brief weather activity, neighboring Ghaziabad and Noida expect clear skies, and Gurugram anticipates partly cloudy conditions.
Temperatures on Sunday saw a slight increase from Saturday, with the maximum at 29.5 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees below average, and the minimum at 15.6 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees below normal. Cloudy skies are predicted to continue this week, with maximum temperatures rising to 32-34 degrees Celsius by Saturday, and minimums between 16-18 degrees Celsius.
Delhi has already had two rain spells in March due to western disturbances. From March 24, rainfall will decrease, replaced by partly cloudy skies and daytime temperatures of 30-32 degrees Celsius. By March 26, cloud cover may increase again, with temperatures reaching 32-34 degrees Celsius, though significant rainfall is not anticipated.
Air quality readings across Delhi remain in the moderate range, with specific index numbers provided for areas like Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar, and Punjabi Bagh. This follows a period of dense fog and cloud cover on March 21, which marked the coldest March day in six years.
