The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed veteran backup quarterback Joe Flacco to a one-year contract. Flacco, who is 41 years old, was acquired by the Bengals through a trade with the Cleveland Browns in October. Last season, he played in nine games for Cincinnati, taking over as the starter for six of those contests due to an injury to Joe Burrow.
During his time with the Bengals last season, Flacco completed 61.7% of his passes for 1,664 yards, 13 touchdowns, and four interceptions. His previous performance with the Browns earlier in the campaign included completing 58.1% of his throws for 815 yards, two scores, and six interceptions across four starts. Flacco's extensive NFL career spans 18 years and 209 appearances, with a total of 48,176 passing yards, 272 touchdowns, and 172 interceptions. He has previously played for the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and Indianapolis Colts, holding a regular-season starter record of 107-94. He also boasts a 10-6 playoff record, highlighted by the Ravens' Super Bowl victory in the 2011-12 season. Josh Johnson and Sean Clifford are the other quarterbacks on the Bengals' roster.
