A shocking car fire erupted on Elm Road in the town of Wisbech on Sunday evening around 9 PM. A resident, Pavel Samonkov, described seeing a "huge flame" and hearing "crackling noises" through his window. The incident prompted a swift response from Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighters arrived to find a car fully engulfed in flames. Wearing breathing apparatus, they successfully extinguished the fire using a hose reel. The crew cleared the scene by 10 PM. Cambridgeshire Police and the East of England Ambulance Service were also present.
