Nikhil Siddhartha is set to release Swayambhu, an ambitious period epic described as his career's biggest gamble after a nearly two-year hiatus. The film boasts a massive scale, with approximately 180 shooting days and a significant budget, making it the actor's most expensive project to date.
Designed for a grand theatrical experience, Swayambhu will be available in 3D, PCX, and Dolby formats, aiming to capture the audience's desire for larger-than-life cinema. Siddhartha portrays a Chola warrior, Krishnan Raman, in a true story about an underdog who becomes a historical figure.
To embody the role, Nikhil Siddhartha committed deeply, growing his hair and beard naturally over several months and living as a warrior for close to two years. He performed all action sequences after extensive training. He is also involved in another project, 'The India House,' a bilingual exploring pre-Independence freedom fighter stories, featuring actors like Anupam Kher and Raveena Tandon.
